How far along: 31 weeks. According to lots of sites, next week is the start of month 8. This means I only have 9 weeks to go. We’re down to single digits, folks!
Baby size: According to BabyCentre, Lil’ Ziggy weighs approximately 3.3 lbs and is about 16 inches long from head to toe.
Belly: I didn’t really think there was much of a change from last week to this week, but judging by this week’s picture, I do believe my belly is sticking out more. Yay belly!
Sleep: Oh how I miss it. Zig goes crazy almost every night, right when I’d love to fall alseep. So basically I could go to bed at 10, a respectable hour, and still be awake at 1 between the wiggles and the mind-running.
Clothes: Still doing well there. My Boxing Week shipment of a few maternity/nursing items should be arriving soon.
Movement: This kid is hilarious. Dancing up a storm, then stopping once I look at my belly. Deciding to run laps in my belly whenever I want to sleep. I hope this child is nothing like me and actually sleeps once in a while once it’s born.
Food cravings: Skittles. Chris was a doll and went out in the cold to fetch me skittles a few days ago. He delights me :).
What I miss: Sleep. My ankles. My wedding rings. Walking straight instead of side to side.
Preparing for birth: My doula, Brittany, and I are getting together next week to go over my birth plan. I have to start researching some of the more nitty-gritty details in my birth plan, although I have a lot of the big wants/needs covered.
We also bought our crib, which should be arriving this weekend at our local Sears. If this isn’t the kick in the butt to get our condo ready for the wee one, I don’t know what will do the trick.
What I’m stuck on now is which crib mattress to get. We’re willing to spend a bit more on a mattress that doesn’t have harsh chemical off-gassing, but I’m just not sure which one. I’m open to suggestions, moms and dads!
And as promised, here’s my little update on which stroller we ended up choosing. We got the BOB Revolution! I’m very happy with my decision and I can’t wait for it to arrive. We also chose the Graco Snugride 35 Click Connect for our carseat, and it’ll fit into the stroller with an adapter.
I can’t wait to take Lil’ Ziggy out on the trails in this bad boy:

Been reading all your posts to Uncle Ray. We both think you look fantastic. So glad that Chris went out in cold to get you skittles. Most wouldn’t. You got yourself a good one. xox
